Night 1

If he appears in the front hall, the player must hold down the Wind Gate button until the next woosh sound plays; otherwise, Chuck E. Cheese will kill the player.

Nights 2-5

On subsequent nights, Chuck E. is joined by other animatronics. He continues to move randomly throughout the restaurant, eventually making his way to the Office. He will appear at the gate behind the player, who must close the gate on him to send him away. Chuck E. makes an audio cue when he's at the door, so the player just needs to listen out for his voice. If the player fails to close the gate or closes it too late, Chuck E. will jumpscare the player and end the night.

Aggressive Mode

In the Aggressive version of the game, Chuck E. no longer plays a sound cue when he appears at the Office. He will jumpscare the player as soon as his timer runs out if the gate is not closed, even if it is mostly closed.
