Mr. Munch, a purple monster who loves to eat
Mr. Munch is a friendly, silly, purple monster who is always smiling. He is a very smart keyboardist and loves to play music with Chuck E. Cheese and their other friends. He is also the band's namesake and DJ. Mr. Munch has a habit of eating anything, including pizza, and his favourite food is pepperoni pizza. He was introduced in 1978, replacing Crusty the Cat.
Mr. Munch is a member of Munch's Make Believe Band, alongside Chuck E. Cheese, Helen Henny, Jasper T. Jowls and Pasqually P. Pieplate. The band originated when Chuck E. Cheese, having grown up alone in an orphanage, decided to celebrate the birthdays of his friends by throwing parties with pizza, music, singing and games. As a young adult, he travelled to New York City, where he met Pasqually P. Pieplate, a pizza chef who loved his singing voice and offered him a spot performing at his restaurant. The pizza shop became super popular, and Chuck E. Cheese and Pasqually became good friends. Soon, Chuck E. Cheese met more friends, and they formed a band, playing music together at the pizza restaurant.
Mr. Munch was originally voiced by Scott Wilson in 1986, due to the merger of PTT with ShowBiz Pizza Place into ShowBiz Pizza Time. Wilson was the voice of both Chuck E. Cheese and Mr. Munch at the time. In 1994, Duncan Brannan was hired as the new voice of Chuck E. Cheese, and took over as the voice of Mr. Munch as well. In 2012, Jaret Reddick, vocalist and guitarist of Bowling for Soup, replaced Brannan as the voice of Chuck E. Cheese, and presumably Mr. Munch as well.

Jasper T. Jowls, a bloodhound dog from Tennessee
Jasper T. Jowls is a bloodhound dog from Tennessee who has been a character at Chuck E. Cheese since the very beginning. He is a member of Munch's Make Believe Band and plays the bass guitar (though he has also been known to play the banjo, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and harmonica).
Jasper was originally conceived as a country-western character by Robert Allen Black and Gene Landrum, as country music was gaining popularity at the time. He debuted on May 17, 1977, at the original Pizza Time Theatre location, with a low and dopey voice provided by Scott Paulin. He spent his time playing the banjo and had a wild, redneck-type voice with a loud laugh, which often prompted Chuck E. Cheese to order the backstage technicians to "turn off the fruitcake dog!".
In the early days, Jasper was very dimwitted and often didn't catch on to the insults Chuck E. Cheese threw at him. However, he would occasionally snap back. He was also quite the lunatic, laughing and howling on stage, which greatly annoyed Chuck E. Despite this, he was very romantic towards almost every Guest Star, with the exception of Madame Oink and Helen Henny. As time went on, Jasper's character became smarter, and his voice higher, with Bob West taking on the role in 1986.
In 1999, the Avenger Era of Jasper's character debuted, with voice acting by Jeremy Blaido. He started to morph into a wisecracking and cynical bloodhound, often teasing the other characters, especially Helen Henny. During the Rockstar Era (2014-present), Jasper became more loyal and dog-like, forming a very close friendship with Chuck E. and the others.
Jasper's appearance has also changed over the years. He started off as a brown hound dog with large jowls and, in the PTT Era, had buck teeth (only in illustrations). He wore blue overalls with a straw hat and brown shoes. Later, his hat was changed to a cowboy hat, and he wore a white shirt with red spots, a red bandana, and light blue overalls. In the Rockstar Era, his look changed drastically, with his hat retired and his muzzle made tan. He now sports a denim look, with a blue plaid shirt, blue jeans, cowboy boots, and a belt with a "J" buckle.

Pasqually P. Pieplate, a drummer from southern Italy
Pasqually P. Pieplate is the only human character in the Chuck E. Cheese franchise. He is a drummer from southern Italy with a penchant for joke-telling.
Pasqually's story begins in New York City, where he owned a pizza restaurant. One day, he encountered Chuck E. Cheese, who had travelled to the city from his childhood home at the St. Marinara orphanage. Chuck E. began singing to Pasqually, who was so enamoured with his voice that he invited him to perform at his restaurant. Despite his initial nerves, Chuck E. took to the stage and serenaded a young boy with 'Happy Birthday'. The crowd went wild, and soon Pasqually's pizza shop became the hottest spot in town, with people flocking to hear Chuck E. sing and feast on his delicious pizza. From that day on, Chuck E. and Pasqually became firm friends, and the restaurant became a regular venue for Chuck E. and his band to perform.
Pasqually's restaurant was not his first encounter with the performing arts. Before his career as a pizza chef, he was known as Pasqually the Singing Chef, one of the original characters featured in the first Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre animatronic shows when the franchise was founded in 1977. Pasqually was joined by other characters, including Crusty the Cat (later replaced by Mr. Munch), Jasper T. Jowls, the Warblettes, and, of course, Chuck E. Cheese himself.
In addition to his role as a drummer in Chuck E.'s band, Pasqually has also found success outside of the pizza restaurant. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pasqually's name was used for a ghost kitchen called Pasqually's Pizza & Wings. This virtual brand operates out of Chuck E. Cheese kitchens but claims to use different ingredients and recipes catering to a more mature audience.
