When Kabushiki Gaisha ABS took full control of CEC Entertainment in June 2016, they expressed their intention to continue using SkyTubes, addressing the cleanliness concerns and making small changes to enhance the experience. ABS introduced new, modernised SkyTubes that were slightly wider in diameter to ease cleaning and reduce the risk of older children and teenagers getting stuck. As of November 30, 2016, CEC-ABS confirmed that the SkyTubes were once again a fully integrated part of the Chuck E. Cheese's experience.
